Case Registered Against BJP Mahila Morcha Activists For Ransacking SCW Office

**Bhubaneswar: ** A case has been registered in connection with the ransacking of the office of the State Commission for Women(SCW) in Bhubaneswar by the BJP Mahila Morcha. Its members had barged into the office and broke window panes of the office building during its protest against the ruling BJD in connection with the rape and subsequent suicide of the Kunduli victim.

According to Police Commissioner YB Khurania, “A case has been registered and action will be taken as per law.”

Notably, the women activists of the BJP Mahila Morcha forced their entry into the SCW office and ransacked it on Thursday. They mot only damaged window panes, but also pillaged the notice boards and affixed pamphlets alleging police and administration’s inaction over the issue.

They had even offered bangles to the SCW staff members and hung bangles on the entrance of the Commission chairperson Lopamudra Baxipatra’s chamber as a mark of protest.
