Puri: Cash and gold ornaments have been looted from the Mausi Maa Temple on Grand Road in Puri town on Wednesday night.
As per a complaint lodged by priest Biswanath Mishra at Kumbharapada Police Station, he found the locks of the temple’s gate and the donation box were broken this morning.
Some unidentified miscreants had broken into the temple last night and have decamped with the cash and valuables. Kumbharapada police have started an investigation into the incident.
