Cuttack: Madhupatna police of Cuttack have been successful in arresting a person who had allegedly stolen Rs 9,49,400 from an Axis Bank ATM kiosk at Nuapada.
The accused has been identified as Hrushikesh Sahu alias Raja and the entire amount looted by him has been recovered.
Police said Sahu was an employee of the cash replenishment firm Securevalue India Ltd.
“Location in charge of a cash replenishment company-Securevalue India Ltd, Cuttack had filed an FIR with Madhupatna police that around Rs 9.5 lakh which was to be replenished in an ATM kiosk of Axis Bank at Nuapada has been misappropriated (stolen). We had registered a case and investigation was underway,” informed Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra addressing a presser here today.
The DCP said that Madhupatna police have successfully detected the case.
“One Raja alias Hrushikesh Sahu, an employee of the company (Securevalue India Ltd) who was familiar with the cash replenishment process and the loopholes therein had stolen the money. A good investigation by Madhupatna police has led to the arrest of the accused and recovery of the entire amount of Rs 9,49,400,” Mishra informed.
