Balasore: While a 14-day lockdown is enforced across Odisha, a case of alleged cattle smuggling was reported from Balasore district on Wednesday night.
Reportedly, some persons were seen transporting cattle near Ashram Chhak in Soro town of Balasore district last night. When stopped and questioned by locals, they fled the scene.
Such an incident, at a time when the state government is spending lakhs of rupees to provide food for stray animals in the lockdown, has raised concern among local residents.
