Bhubaneswar: A Crime Branch team consisting of four officers and Forensic experts today seized burnt remnants of the two deceased Russian tourists—Russian lawmaker Pavel Antov and his friend Vladimir Bidenov from the cremation ground at Rayagada for forensic examination, said an official press release.
The team thoroughly checked Room Nos. 319 and 401 of the Sai International Hotel where Antov and Bidenov were staying and seized some articles, the press release added.
The list of guests from December 1 to 27 with their corresponding address and other details have been obtained by the Crime Branch for verification, the release further said.
The CID-CB team has obtained the list of Hotel Staff and they are being examined, the release stated.
The press release further stated that the recording of the statement of accompanying Russian couple Turov Mikhail and Panesenko Natalia with the assistance of an interpreter and of tourist guide Jitendra Singh has been completed and an audio-video recording of the whole process has been carried out.
Further enquiry into the incident is continuing, the release added.
