Bhubaneswar: Amid ongoing ruckus in the Odisha Assembly over the probe into Naba Kisore Das murder, the State Government today said that the Crime Branch is investigating the matter thoroughly, with all specialised technical and medical assistance from professional agencies.
In a reply to an adjournment motion moved by Leader of Opposition Party, Jayanarayan Mishra and senior Congress MLA Narasingha Mishra, Minister of State, Home Department, Tusharkanti Behera said, “The probe is focussed primarily on verticals – to unravel the motive of crime and conviction of the accused.”
“This is a case of the death of our dear colleague and a sensitive matter. We should refrain from inferences drawn out of imaginations, and levelling baseless allegations. We should have patience and allow the State Crime Branch to complete the investigation,” said Behera, appealing the Members of the House not to politicise the case.
