**Bhubaneswar:** The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has interrogated Satyapriya Jaysingh, bother-in-law of ruling BJD’s Food Supply and Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Das Burma for his allegedly unholy nexus with the already black listed chit fund firm of Artha Tatwa (AT) group.
The CBI sleuths have quizzed Jaysingh for around 5 hours at the state unit office here to inquire about his links with the tainted firm.
“CBI called me to know whether there was any transfer of money from AT Group chit Fund Company to the account of my company Team Media and Hospitality. Whatever they asked me I have answered and now they will continue their investigation,” Jaysingh told media persons after coming out of CBI officer here.
Satyapriya had been summoned to appear before the CBI sleuths here for interrogation on August 8 to record his statement under Section 160 of the CrPC , but he did not appear then.
Notably, the infamous AT Ponzi scheme has allegedly swindled crores of rupees by duping thousands of investors across the state following which its chairman Pradip Sethy has been languishing in the high-security Jharpada Jail here since May 2013 after being arrested by the CBI.
The CBI officials have recently quizzed Sethy again in the prison to elicit more information on his alleged political link and rapport with influential persons in the power corridor and basing on his latest revelations notice has been served to Jaysingh.
Notably, Jaysingh is the director of Team Media and Hospitality and money from the AT group has allegedly been invested into it as reportedly revealed by Sethy during his recent grilling in the prison by the CBI sleuths.
