**Bhubaneswar**: The Special CJM Court on Tuesday allowed CBI to take arrested Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Pal on fresh 3-day remand.
The CBI had applied for 4-day remand as the investigation was not completed smoothly as he got unwell repeatedly.
Pal was produced before the court here after his first phase 3-day remand ended today.
He will be again produced before the court on January 6.
Besides, Pal’s daughter Sohini also appeared before the investigating agency in Bhubaneswar for the second time in connection with the Rose Valley chit fund scam.
The TMC leader was brought to Bhubaneswar from Kolkata by the CBI on December 31 and produced before the Special CJM CBI court here which granted the investigating agency a 3-day remand of the MP.
In a related development, the CBI on Tuesday arrested another TMC MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay in Kolkata for having links with the mega scam.
