Bhubaneswar: More than 0ne lakh students from across Odisha will appear for the board exams for Class 10 and Class 12 conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) from today, February 15.
CBSE board has left no stone unturned for the smooth conduct of the examinations. The board has advised students to carry their CBSE admit cards to the exam centre. Besides, they are also advised to arrive at the examination centre well in advance.
The CBSE exams will begin at 10:30 am and the students have been asked to reach the centre 30 minutes before the time.
According to sources, CBSE Class 10 board examination will continue from February 15 to March 13 while Class 12 board examination will be held from February 15 to April 2, 2024.
The board has also warned that late entry will not be entertained. “Students will be allowed to enter the examination centre by 10am. After this no student will be allowed,” read the guidelines issued by CBSE.
This year, the board has come up with new provisions meant for students suffering from Type 1 diabetes. Going by the notice issued by the CBSE on February 8, students suffering from Type-1 Diabetes will be permitted to bring chocolates, fruits, and snacks to the exam centers. For the first time, the board has allowed students to do so. However, these items must be carried in a transparent pouch.
CBSE has introduced special arrangements for students who are very much active in sports and Olympiads. The board will arrange special exams to help the students participating in these events without missing exams.
