Bhubaneswar: The class 10th and 12th board exams for Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) begins today with around 18 lakh appearing for Class 10th and 12 lakh for Class 12th boards.
The class 10th board exams will conclude on March 20 while the class 12th board exams will conclude on March 30.
The students have been asked to reach the centre by 9.45 am for the exam as latecomers will not be allowed into the exam hall. No student will be allowed after 10 am. Candidates have to bring their admit cards along with them without which no student will be allowed to enter.
Students must wear their school uniform on the day of examinations and carry their school identity document (ID). Mobile phones, paper chits, old question papers or anything that draws suspicion of the possibility of unfair means being adopted will not be allowed.
The CBSE class 10th board exams will be conducted on 5376 centres while the CBSE 12th board exams will be held on 4983 centres.
This year on, candidates with special needs will be allowed a basic calculator, be given extra time and provided with a scribe or reader, computer or laptop (without internet), based on their needs.
