Cuttack: Part two of CDA-like township might very soon be part of the silver city, said Housing and Urban Development Minister Pratap Jena.
Jena conducted an inspected of 400 acres of land extending from Bali Jatra grounds to Hadiapatha for the proposed township. He was accompanied by Cuttack Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani, CMC Commissioner Ananya Das and other senior officials.
Briefing the media, Jena said, “Right next to the Mahanadi River, after dredging about 400 acres of land from Bali Jatra grounds to Hadiapatha will be available for an integrated development plan for a CDA-like township.”
“Apart from residential complex and office spaces, we are also planning for a sports complex and other tourism activities. A second campus of the SCB Medical College and Hospital might also come up here.”
The Minister added that the construction will be undertaken as per NGT guidelines and that the move will be hugely beneficial to Cuttack residents.
