CDPO, Revenue Assistant Held By Vigilance For Bribery

Bhubaneswar: The State Vigilance on Wednesday held the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) and Senior Revenue Assistant of Bandhugaon in Koraput district on charges of bribery.

The CDPO, Namita Rani Paul and Senior RA Aswini Pradhan were held while accepting an illegal gratification of Rs 40,000 for allegedly issuing an appointment letter and acceptance of a joining letter of an Anganwadi worker.

The entire bribe money has been recovered and seized from the possession of Pradhan. In this connection, Koraput Vigilance has registered a case under Section 7 of the P.C. (Amendment)Act, 2018.

Investigation is in progress against both the accused and searches on their premises is on, the Vigilance stated.
