Maa Tujhe Salaam:  A.R. Rahman’s contemporary patriotic song Maa Tujhe Salaam from his Vande Mataram album expresses love and respect for the country.

Mere Desh Ki Dharti:  This song is a timeless classic from the 1967 film Upkaar which featured Manoj Kumar. Manoj Kumar played a significant role in popularizing then Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri’s quote,’Jai Jawan, Jai Kisaan in the movie.

Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon: Composed by C Ramchandra and sung by Lata Mangeshkar, it is an ode to India’s soldiers, honouring their sacrifices and symbolizing the nation’s freedom.

Des Rangila: It is a classic patriotic anthem from the 2006 movie Fanaa that evokes patriotism in every Indian. Mahalaxmi Iyer’s vocals evoke a sense of love and respect for the motherland, making this song a part of Independence Day celebrations.

Ae Watan: This song is from the movie ‘Raazi’. The lyrics of the song ‘Ae Watan’ have been beautifully composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The song arouses strong feelings of love, pride, and dedication to the nation with its lovely lyrics and soaring music.

Rang De Basanti: This is an energetic song which captures the essence of nationalism and radiates power, joy, and a sense of unanimity.

Chakde India: Salim-Sulaiman’s powerful anthem Chakde India sung by Sukhwinder Singh deserves another notable mention here. The song showcases pride in the country, unity, and greatness, adding patriotism to the Independence Day celebrations.

Teri Mitti: A must-play song on Independence Day is ‘Teri Mitti.’ It is a soulful song that touches the hearts of every Indian with its words and rhythm.

Lehra Do: People often get chills from the thrilling song Lehra Do from the film ’83.’ The 1983 cricket World Cup victory by India is portrayed in Kabir Khan’s film. This song evokes a sense of pride in every Indian.
