Celebrity Cricket League: Sher De Punjab Trounce Bhojpuri Dabanggs At Barabati Stadium

Cuttack: Close on the heels of the India-England ODI match, the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack witness another form of cricket on Sunday when celebrities of the tinsel town took the field for the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL).

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi graced the CCL as the chief guest and inaugurated the league. Majhi’s presence added to the excitement of the game, celebrating the spirit of sports and entertainment. The Chief Minister interacted with the players and took a tour of the facilities at the Barabati Stadium.

Opting to bat first, Punjab De Sher set a formidable target of 206 runs against the Bhojpuri Dabanggs.

Led by Sonu Sood, the Panjab De Sher team boasted of celebrities like Mika Singh, Jimmy Shergill, Ayushmann Khurana, Rahul Dev and Angad Bedi. On the other hand, singer and BJP MP Manoj Tiwari led the Bhojpuri Dabanggs. Actors Ravi Kishan, Dinesh Lal Yadav, Nirahua, Pawan Singh and Pradeep Pandey were prominent participants of the Bhojpuri Dabanggs team.

The second match of the day will be played between Mumbai Heroes vs Bengal Tigers.
