Cuttack: Popular Ollywood singer Humane Sagar and his estranged wife Shriya Mishra will not be turning up at the Mahila police station in Cuttack for counselling today, said Zone 2 ACP Amitabh Mohapatra.
Caught in a bitter marital spat, the couple had attended the first counselling at the police station on Thursday last week after Shriya levelled a battery of charges, including alcoholism, dowry demand, extra-marital affair, and forcible religious conversion among others. Since the counselling was inconclusive and neither Humane nor Shriya were prepared for a compromise, they were asked to visit the police station again on Monday.
In the meantime, Shriya addressed a press conference on Sunday to explain her side of things and said that she would not be able to turn up at the police station on Monday as her parents were ill. Shriya also conveyed her problem to the police, which rescheduled the next counselling session for January 30. The police have asked both Humane and Shriya to be present at the Cuttack Mahila Police Station on January 30.
