**Jajpur:** The five-member Central team on Tuesday experienced the daily ordeal of Nagada tribals.
The team that is on its Odisha visit to assess the situation at Nagada village in the wake of deaths of 19 malnourished children in the recent months that hogged the headlines and created ripples nationwide, trekked the hilly terrain to access the inaccessible tribal pocket in the mineral-rich district here.
Led by Jajpur Collector Satya Kumar Mallick, the Central team started its journey on foot midway at about 9 am today and reached the Juanga tribals predominated village in the afternoon and took stock of the situation by interacting with the villagers.
Women & Child Development (W&CD) Secretary Vishal Dev has also accompanied the team.
The five-member fact-finding team of the Union Health Ministry that arrived Bhubaneswar on Monday afternoon reached Kaliapani Tata Guest House here in the same evening.
Soon after its arrival here, the team held a review meeting with District Collector at the Kaliapani Tata Guest House.
The Central team is being led by Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry Joint Secretary Chetan B. Sanghi and includes National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) joint director Shella Dev, NVBDCP additional director Awajesh Kumar, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) advisor Arun Singh and Dr Prabin Kumar.
