Cuttack: A three-member central team visited the Diarrhea Ward of SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack today to assess the condition of patients affected by diarrhea.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed patient conditions and consulted with attending doctors. The team expressed satisfaction with the steady recovery of patients and affirmed that appropriate medical care is being provided.
According to Public Health Director Dr. Nilakantha Mishra, five deaths have been confirmed as diarrhea-related in the state. So far, a total of 146 patients have been treated in the Diarrhea Ward and 115 have recovered.
The delegation comprised Dr. Nilam Manoharrao Somalkar, Dr. Pramit Ghosh, Microbiologist Dr. Srujana Mohanty, and Food Safety Officer Sashikanta Bhuyan. SCB Medical Director Dr. Goutam Kumar Satpathy accompanied them, offering detailed information.
