Centre Sanctions Tool Room-cum-Training Centre At Rourkela
Bhubaneswar: The Centre has sanctioned a world-class tool room-cum-training centre at Rourkela and four extension centres under it at Berhampur, Kalahandi, Keonjhar and Balasore, informed Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Pratap Chandra Sarangi here today after meeting Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
The Union Minister further informed that while the tool room-cum-training centre will be built at a cost of Rs 200 crore, the extension centres will be established at a cost of Rs 20 crore each.
He said that while the Centre will fully finance these projects, the State government will provide land for the same.
Sarangi informed that 226 MSME clusters have been approved in the country out of these 45 are in Odisha.
“I spoke to the Chief Minister in this regard. My department’s Secretary will visit on a mutually convenient date and make a PowerPoint presentation in this connection. The Chief Minister said that we will work together,” stated Sarangi.
