CEO Sanctions Rs 15 Lakh Ex-Gratia For Heirs Of 2 Poll Personnel Killed On Duty

Bhubaneswar: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Odisha Nikunja Bihari Dhal has sanctioned ex-gratia of Rs 15 lakh each to the legally approved heirs of the two polling personnel killed on duty during the simultaneous General Elections-2024.

The deceased polling personnel have been identified as Late Eso Majhi (Gajapati) and Late Manoranjan Sahu (Jajpur). They were deployed at booth no. 204 in Gajapati district and booth no. 157 in Jajpur district respectively.

Dhal has directed the Collector-cum-District Electoral Officers of Gajapati and Jajpur districts to extend sympathies to the bereaved families and hand over the ex-gratia amounts as per rules.
