**Bhubaneswar:** Chairperson of Sundargarh’s Special Development Council has resigned from her post today citing personal reasons.
She has stated in her resignation letter to the CM that, “I, Kusum Tete, Chairperson of Special Development Council, Sundargarh do hereby resign from the post for personal reason.”
In her media reaction, she said that she is hopeful of contesting the 2019 Assembly polls with a BJD ticket. It is notable to mention here that Kusum had contested the 2014 polls on BJD ticket from Sundargarh and had been defeated by Congress candidate Jogesh Singh.
However last year, Singh resigned from Congress and joined BJD. It will be interesting to note the further developments with elections knocking on the door.
