Puri: The Niti sub-committee of Shri Jagannath Temple here on Tuesday approved the schedule, timings and rituals for the Akshaya Tritiya and Chandan Jatra festivals associated with the shrine.
Chief Administrator, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, VV Yadav said that all the Servitors and members of the Niti sub-committee have given their consent for the schedule of the aforementioned festivals.
The Chhattis Nijog meeting was also held today which approved the aforementioned schedules. The matter of scholarships to talented students in Servitor families was also discussed at the meeting.
Akshaya Tritiya falls on April 23 while Chandan Jatra also begins on the same date.
