Malkangiri: The security forces of neighbouring Chhattisgarh busted a Maoist camp yesterday that was located in the Indipal forest area of Dantewada district.
While the ultras camping there could manage to flee the spot during the combing operation launched by the security personnel, a huge quantity of incriminating materials used by the red rebels have been seized.
Basing on intelligence reports, Dantewada DRG jawans swooped down on the spots of Jirandul, Faraspal and Mirtul in the Indipal forest. However, the Maoists got alerted and decamped leaving behind their belongings.
The seizure includes two guns, posters, tents, IED switch, torches, polythene, knives, etc. Later the jawans set the existing camp on fire while a search operation was intensified to apprehend the left wing extremists.
