Chhattisgarh Minor Drowns In Indravati River In Odisha’s Koraput

Koraput: In a tragic incident, a minor boy drowned in the Indravati River near Sadaranga village under Kotpad police limits in Odisha’s Koraput district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased is a native of Ukanpali village in the neighbouring Chhattisgarh State.

According to reports, the deceased was visiting his relative’s house in Sadaranga village on the occasion of a local festival called Baliyatra. He bathed in the Indiravati River with his relatives this morning. While bathing, he slipped into deep water and went missing. His body was recovered after an hour’s search.

On being informed, the local police reached the spot and started an investigation. They sent the body of the minor for postmortem.
