Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the third phase of the 5-T High School Transformation programme on Tuesday. On the first day of this phase, the Chief Minister inaugurated 357 transformed schools in 4 districts today. It includes 106 high schools in Ganjam, 87 in Angul, 57 in Keonjhar and 107 schools in Jagatsinghpur.
A total of 2151 transformed high schools will be constructed in the third phase. It is worth noting that 3981 schools have been converted in the state in the last two phases. After the completion of the three phases, a total of 6132 schools will be transformed in the state.
Addressing the students through video conferencing on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the success of the students is the success of Odisha. Efforts have been made to provide all modern facilities to the children in 5 schools. The Chief Minister said that the children could take this opportunity to showcase their talent, the glory of their own and their families would increase as well as the glory of the entire Odisha.
Congratulating the students attending these schools, the Chief Minister said that if children use 5T in their lives, then they can be successful in all areas of life. Explaining this, the Chief Minister said that the present age is the age of technology. So children should try to learn new technologies.
The second thing is teamwork. If children work together, the chances of success increase. He said that teamwork is very important in the field of sports. Similarly, transparency is an essential requirement in life. Honesty increases a person’s credibility. Everyone knows the importance of time. So with all this time can be used properly, children must be ahead in all areas and there will be transformation or success in their life.
Congratulating the MLAs, Panchayat representatives, school management committee members, teachers, students and parents present in the program, the Chief Minister highlighted the 5T principles – technology, teamwork, transparency and time, and these lead to transformation.
The Chief Minister said that with the application of technology, smart classrooms, computers and modern laboratories have been developed in the school.
Similarly, this transformation work has been done with the joint efforts of all, which is a symbol of teamwork. The Chief Minister said that all the work has been completed on time due to the importance of time. In all this work transparency is maintained at every level. Discussions are being held with local people. Everyone knows everything from the vision document to the cost of each project.
On this occasion, students from different schools narrated their experiences in relation to the 5T transformation. During the program, the Chief Minister interacted with the children and asked them what they wanted to be in the future, and they all said that they would become administrative officers, doctors and engineers.
In the program, Deputy Speaker Rajnikant Singh, Berhampur MP Chandrashekhar Sahu, Jagatsinghpur MLA and Government Chief Whip Prashant Kumar Muduli and Patna MLA and District Planning Committee Chairman Jagannath Naik gave their speeches and highly praised the vision of the Chief Minister.
Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian participated in discussion with the children. Pandian said that the Chief Minister has not only provided better education for children in government schools, but has also provided 15 percent reservation for them in medical and engineering colleges.
He said that the Chief Minister has ordered to transform all the schools in the state within the next six months. He thanked the teams working at the district level for the success of the school transformation program in three phases.
Development Commissioner Anu Garg delivered the welcome speech and the Special Project Director of OSEPAR gave vote of thanks. Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and other officers of various departments were present.
