Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited Kalinga Bali Yatra is set to begin today in Paradip, with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi scheduled to inaugurate the festival as the chief guest.
The festival is a significant event in Paradip, and the Chief Minister’s presence is expected to add to the grandeur of the celebrations.
CM Majhi is scheduled to be the chief guest and inaugurate the Bali Yatra. So preparations are being carried out in full swing at the district administrative level.
According to reports, CM Majhi will also inaugurate the Boita Bandana Utsav, organised by the Paradip Port. The valedictory ceremony will be attended by the Governor of Odisha.
Ahead of the CM’s visit, DIG Satyajit Mohanty, the District Collector J Sonal, Superintendent of Police Ankit Kumar Verma, and other officials inspected the venue and held meetings with departmental authorities to ensure a smooth and successful event.
Extensive arrangements have been made for route march, helipad, control room and traffic management. As many as 21 platoons of force will be deployed during the Bali Yatra, along with 40 officers. Additional forces have been brought in from outside, including district forces for the smooth conduct of the event.
