Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be on a week-long visit to Japan from Sunday. He is scheduled to leave for Delhi on Sunday and depart for Japan on Monday. Patnaik’s power-packed visit to Japan aims to attract huge technology-driven investments to Odisha.
The Chief Minister is leading a delegation of top industry leaders to Tokyo to participate in the Odisha Business Meet Tokyo 2023 scheduled on April 5, 2023. The meet is being organised by the Government of Odisha in association with the Embassy of India in Japan, the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), and the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
The Chief Minister is scheduled to attend multiple business summits and conclaves between April 4 and April 9 in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka.
The business delegation accompanying the high-level state government delegation comprises representatives from diverse sectors such as auto components, metal downstream ancillaries, refractories, chemicals and petrochemicals, food processing, textiles and apparel etc.
The delegation is looking forward to meeting representatives of leading companies and industry associations in Japan and showcasing the vast existing and emerging business opportunities in the state.
