Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik warned the electorate not to fall prey to the false propaganda of the Opposition.
Addressing a large public meeting at the IDCO ground in Odisha’s Bhadrak district campaigning for his party candidates for Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, the Chief Minister said that the Opposition has been shedding crocodile tears and resorting to false propaganda to deceive the people and take their votes.
He cautioned the electorate to be alert and fall prey to the false promises of the Opposition parties. At the same time, he asked the people to consider the achievements and development programmes of the BJD government.
The Chief Minister reiterated that people would not need to pay power bills from July this year if they elect the BJD to power again. He added that his government would include everyone in Odisha, including the government staff, in the BSKY. At the same time, he promised that all members of Mission Shakti would be given a pension if his party won again.
He recounted the various achievements of his government, including the LaccMi Bus scheme, the Mamata scheme, 5T schools, Nua-O student scholarships, the KALIA scheme, the Madhubabu Pension, ration card, and other projects.
BJD leader VK Pandian claimed that the Opposition parties are panic-stricken seeing the love and affection of the people for Naveen Babu. Pandian further said the Chief Minister is dedicated to the development of the tribals in Odisha.
