Bhubaneswar: Newly appointed Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja held a preliminary meeting with the Secretaries of various Departments at the Lok Seva Bhavan here on Monday.
In the meeting, Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg gave the welcome speech and highlighted the long administrative experience of the new Chief Secretary.
Speaking at the meeting, Chief Secretary Ahuja said that Odisha’s administrative system has a reputation. He emphasized on the implementation of various plans and programs keeping in view the election manifesto of the newly formed government. He gave many constructive suggestions regarding effective efforts for the implementation of all the plans.
The upcoming budget presentation, smooth management of the Puri Rath Yatra, and related arrangements for the President’s visit were discussed in the meeting.
Ahuja stressed on quick completion of work rather than delays in the event of minor problems arising in implementing plans and programs in various departments, creativity, transparency and good governance.
Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Commissioner-cum-Secretaries in charge of various Departments held discussions with the Chief Secretary regarding various plans and programs.
The Chief Secretary emphasized that Secretaries bring innovation in various activities, use of technology and accountability.
Chief Secretary Ahuja has sought the cooperation of all the secretaries for smooth carrying out of various tasks.
