Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha on March 5. Modi is scheduled to arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in the afternoon on March 5 from Telangana by a special Air Force plane.
After arriving at the BPIA, the Prime Minister will fly on a special helicopter to Chandikhol. At Chandikhol he is scheduled to lay foundation stones and inaugurate various projects. Later he will address a public meeting.
After the programme at Chandikhol, the Prime Minister will return to Bhubaneswar in the evening and then depart for Kolkata.
Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena on Friday held a high-level meeting with senior officials of the State and police administration at the Lok Seva Bhawan here to review various aspects of administrative and security preparedness for the PM’s scheduled visit to the State.
Among others, Addl Chief Secretary Home Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh, Development Commissioner cum Addl Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Principal Secretary Works Vir Vikram Yadav, Principal Secretary Finance Vishal Kumar Dev, Principal Secretary Commerce & Transport and Skill Development & Technical Education Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary Information & Public Relations Sanjay Kumar Singh, Commissioner cum Secretary Health & Family Welfare Shalini Pandit, DG Police Arun Kumar Sarangi, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Panda, Director Intelligence Saumendra Priyadarshi, Secretaries and senior officials of concerned other departments were present during the high-level meeting.
Special Secretary Home Santosh Bala shared details of the PM’s visit and the preparations thereof at the meeting.
Jajpur Collector and Superintendent of Police (SP) and other senior officials of the district administration attended the meeting through video conferencing and participated in the discussion on different arrangements for the PM’s visit.
