Bhubaneswar: An 11-year-old girl, engaged as a domestic help was abandoned by the employer on a road in Nayapalli area after allegedly torturing her.
The ghastly incident has been reported from Salia Sahi where the minor was forced to work as a maid. According to reports, the employer and his family members tortured the little girl regularly.
Ruchika Childline Director Benudhar Senapati rushed to the spot on receiving the complaint along with his team and was disturbed to see the condition of the child. “The girl has scratch marks and fractures on her limbs,” he said, and added that the police was immediately informed.
The child was shifted to Capital Hospital for treatment and a case was registered. Based on the complaint, police registered a case and arrested the accused. Further investigation is underway, the police said.
