Childline Rescues Two Minor Boys From Custody Of An ASHA Worker In Nayagarh

Nayagarh: Nayagarh Childline officials with the assistance of Odagaon police on Thursday rescued two minor boys from the custody of an ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) worker Sasmita Panda of Madanpur village in Pandripada panchayat under Odagaon block of Nayagarh district.

The rescued minor boys aged 3 years and 1 year have been kept at Sishu Care after their production before Nayagarh District Child Protection Committee.

According to reports, acting on a tip-off, the Nayagarh District Child Protection rescued the minor boys from the custody of the ASHA worker. Though the ASHA worker claimed that the elder boy was her brother’s son and the younger boy was her son, she could not produce any documents in support of her claim.

On her failure to produce documents in support of her claim Childline with the assistance of Odagaon police officials rescued the two minor boys.
