Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police made an elaborate security arrangement for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Odisha visit tomorrow.
The city police discussed the security matter with PM’s SPG and other security officials in Bhubaneswar today.
“We have discussed regarding the security of PM with the Special Protection Group of the PM in a meeting in the presence of top CISF officials, Raj Bhavan officials and Bhubaneswar police. We will make full proof security arrangements. We have planned to block all excess routes and check all vehicles thoroughly,” Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh said at a press meet.
A three-tier security arrangement has been put in place in the Raj Bhavan for the night stay of the Prime Minister, the DCP added.
Three DCP rank officers, six, additional DCP rank officers, 10 ACP rank officers along with 90 sub inspectors and ASI will be mobilised. Around twenty platoons of forces will be deployed for the security of the PM. Special arrangements are being made for the traffic during Modi’s tour, Singh informed.
Modi is scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar on Sunday at 9:30 PM. He will spend the night in Raj Bhavan.
On Monday, he will address public meetings in Berhampur and Nabarangpur and canvass for BJP candidates
