Jharsuguda: In the wake of rising COVID-19 cases in Jharsuguda district, the local administration put a clamp on roadside eateries for 15 days starting from today.
Passing the order, Collector and District Magistrate Saroj Kumar Samal said that people were seen huddling around fast-food vendors and eateries which may increase COVID-19 cases.
The district administration restricted roadside vending of fast food and other readymade cooked edibles for 15 days starting from September 25. The order added that violators will be fined.
The administration will incentivise such small businessmen Rs 2500 per capita for compliance.
There will be no road side vending of fast food and other readymade cooked edibles for 15 days in our district from 25.09.2020 to contain the spread of COVID. Such small businessmen will be incentivised @2500/- per capita for compliance. Deviation will invite penal action.
