Bhubaneswar: A violent clash between two groups over a farmland at Tungughat village under Balangir Sadar police station in Balangir district left eight persons injured, while one of the seriously injured person later succumbed to their injuries.
According to reports, the conflict stemmed from a long-standing land feud between the two groups. The situation turned volatile, with both parties engaging in a fierce brawl on the village road.
A video of the violent confrontation has gone viral, showcasing the terrifying scenes of the fight. Upon being informed, police arrested five persons. The remaining three injured persons are receiving treatment at Bhimbhoi Medical College and Hospital and are expected to be taken into custody once their condition stabilizes.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Saroj Kumar Upadhyay confirmed the developments, stating that further investigations are underway to apprehend any additional suspects involved in the incident.
