Baripada: The body of a class 12th girl student was found hanging on a tree at Pariauda village under Morada police limits in Mayurbhanj district today.
The deceased has been identified as Sasmita Marndi.
According to reports, Sasmita of Laddihi village was staying at her maternal aunt’s place in Pariauda village since childhood and was studying in class 12 in the Baba Jateswar Higher Secondary School at the Nuagaon.
Villagers saw Sasmita’s body hanging from a tree. They immediately informed Chitrada police outpost under Morada police station limits. Police upon reaching the spot seized the body and sent it to PRM Medical College & Hospital for conduct of autopsy.
Police have registered an unnatural death case in this connection.
