Class 3 Tribal Girl Dies After Fall in Hostel Toilet in Telkoi

Telkoi (Keonjhar): Tragedy struck Bhimakand Government Nodal Upper Primary School on Wednesday after a Class 3 student of the tribal girls’ hostel died following a fall in the hostel toilet.

The deceased has been identified as Tejaswini Nayak, daughter of Ganeshwar Nayak of Kuladera village under Telkoi police station limits. According to school authorities, the incident occurred today when Tejaswini slipped in the toilet and suffered a severe head injury.

She was immediately shifted to Telkoi Community Health Centre (CHC) in critical condition, but doctors declared her brought dead.

While the school administration maintains that the girl died due to an accidental fall, her father has alleged negligence and irresponsibility on the part of the school authorities, claiming that proper care and supervision could have prevented the incident.

Local police have been informed, and further inquiry into the circumstances leading to the girl’s death is expected.
