Malkangiri: A Class IX girl student was found hanging in a hostel room at a School in Motu near Kalimela of Malkangiri district.
The girl, identified as Puja Kanja of Ginipali village in the district belongs to the Scheduled Tribe community. He was studying at Madhusudan High School in Motu.
The reason of death remains unclear. It is suspected to be a case of suicide.
On being informed, Motu Police rushed to the spot and seized the body for post-mortem.
Her family members have been informed.
It is worth mentioning that the school is located on Chhattisgarh-Andhra border of Malkangiri. Hundreds of students from different parts of the district are studying there.
