Bhubaneswar: A disturbing incident has come to light in Kujang block in Jagatsinghpur district in Odisha, where a Class IX student gave birth to a stillborn child after being found pregnant.
She is presently undergoing treatment at Jagatsinghpur District Headquarters Hospital, where she delivered the stillborn child.
According to hospital authorities, the girl’s underdeveloped body made it difficult for her to carry the pregnancy to term, resulting in the stillbirth. The girl is currently under medical supervision due to health complications.
Upon being informed, Kujang police have launched an investigation to identify the person responsible for impregnating the minor girl.
