Balasore: A Class IX student tragically passed away while dancing during Ganesh Puja celebrations at Radhamadhab Jew High School under Nilagiri police limits in Balasore district on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Priyanshu Pritam Dasbabu (15), son of Laxmi Narayan Dasbabu, a resident of Siadimal village.
According to reports, the school had organised a celebration on the occasion of Ganesh Puja. Priyanshu, along with his classmates, had attended the event. After the puja rituals concluded, students began dancing as part of the festivities. During the dance, Priyanshu suddenly collapsed on the school premises.
School authorities immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
A pall of gloom has descended on the school and the local community following the untimely death of the student.
