Bhubaneswar: A sixth class girl was allegedly raped by her school teacher at Uparbeda Giri Sahi under Rairangpur rural police station in Mayurbhanj district.
The accused teacher is Harekrushna Mahanta of Giri Sahi. The teacher has been teaching at his tutorial for long days. On Tuesday afternoon, he allegedly assaulted her sexually during tution.
Mahanta threatened the girl not to tell anyone about the incident. However, the student tuition narrated the ordeal before her mother after returning to home. Later, the family filed a written complaint at the police station.
Rairangpur rural police and Rairangpur SDPO Gokula Nanda Sahu today reached the village and arrested the accused. After medical examination, the accused was forwarded to court.
