Bhubaneswar: A Class-X student was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a private hostel at Gopalsagar in Jagatsinghpur on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Biswabhushan Swain of Gopinathpur village of the district.
According to sources, Biswabhusan has been staying at that hostel for the last seven months. Hostel workers found him dead on Monday morning and informed his father about it.
Upon being informed, the deceased’s father Bibhutibhusan reached the hostel and was taken aback to see Biswabhushan lying dead on his bed. He was told that Biswabhusan committed suicide late Sunday night.
He had met his son on Sunday. They spent quality time together. Bibhutibhusan did not find anything which was disturbing his son which led him to end his life.
Smelling foul play behind his son’s death, Bibhutibhusan filed a complaint with Jagatsinghpur police alleging his son was murdered.
Based on the deceased’s complaint, police reached the spot and seized the body.
The deceased’s body was sent for post-mortem. The exact reason behind his death can be ascertained after the post-mortem report comes, said police sources.
