Khurda: A Class X student of SDA English Medium School located on National Highway No. 57 under Khurda police limits in Odisha’s Khurda district was found hanging from a tree on the school premises on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Publias Karji, a native of Gajapati district in Odisha. He was staying in the school hostel.
On being informed, Khurda Sadar SDPO Dilip Das and Khurda police officer-in-charge Tariq Ahmed reached the school along with a scientific team and started an investigation into the unnatural death. The reason for the student taking such an extreme step will be ascertained only after the investigation is complete, Das told the media.
Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased have been informed about the tragic incident and they are on their way to the school.
