Balasore: In a tragic turn of event, the driver of a private bus carrying around 70 pilgrims died of sudden cardiac arrest while driving near Patapur road under Nilagiri police station in Balasore
All the pilgrims had a close shave as the driver identified as identified as Sheikh Akhtar MD managed to stop the vehicle before he complained of chest pain. The incident occurred while the Volvo bus named Naskar Travels traveled to Panchalingeswar temple in Balasore from Howrah.
On the way to Baba Panchalingeshwar’s shrine, the health of the bus driver suddenly deteriorated near Pitapur road. With the help of local residents, the driver was taken to the Nilagiri sub-divisional hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
A local driver took the bus to Panchalingeshwar temple. Tourists praised the local residents and the local driver for their cooperation.
Meanwhile, police seized the body and launched an investigation.
