CM Announces Rs 3 Lakh Ex-Gratia For Ganjam Accident Victims’ Kin

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakh each for the next of the kin of the deceased identified as Swala Reddy (32), Sanju Reddy (23) and Bharti Reddy (12).

All the victims were residents of Lanjipali area in Berhampur. They were members of a wedding party who were standing outside the venue in Mandiapali village last night.

An SUV rammed into the wedding party, killing three persons and injuring several others.

The CM has deeply condoled the incident and stated that the Government will bear the expenses of medical treatment of the injured. The CM wished them a speedy and healthy recovery.
