CM Announces Rs 3 Lakh Ex-Gratia For Kin Of Deceased In Mayurbhanj Road Accident

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday expressed deep grief over the death of six people in a road accident at Gurashuni Ghati in Mayurbhanj district today. Expressing his deepest condolences to the bereaved families, he announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs 3 lakh for the next of kin of the deceased.

Along with this, the Chief Minister directed the concerned authorities to make proper medical arrangements for the injured and wished them a speedy recovery.

It is worth mentioning here that six people were killed and 12  critically injured after the truck the Jatra troupe ‘Dhauli Gananatya’ was travelling by overturned on National Highway No 49 at Dwarsun Ghat in Bangiriposhi in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday morning.
