CM Condoles Filmaker & Journalist Alaya Mohanty’s Death

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep condolences on the demise of filmmaker and journalist Alaya Mohanty.

The 65-year-old film producer passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital here on Tuesday.

In a message, the Chief Minister said that Mohanty created an identity for himself as a senior journalist throughout the State.

“Besides, Mohanty also contributed in the fields of social work and film-making. He was always active to help the poor and sick,” the CM said.

A void has been created in the fields of journalism and social work with the passing away of Mohanty, Naveen noted.
