CM Condoles Freedom Fighter Nilamani Samal’s Demise

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep grief over the demise of eminent freedom fighter and president of the All Odisha Freedom Fighters’ Association Nilamani Samal today.

In a message, the Chief Minister said that Samal had joined the freedom struggle in his youth and had been jailed. He shall be remembered for his sacrifice for the freedom of the country, the CM added.

The CM said that after independence till the last days of his life, Samal had inspired the country’s youths towards service and patriotism.

In his demise, we have lost an eminent freedom fighter, he added.

The Chief Minister announced that Samal’s last rites will be held with full state honours.

While wishing salvation for the departed soul, the CM has expressed his sympathies for the bereaved family.
