CM, Dy CMs Pay Tribute To Former Odisha Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Singh Mardaraj

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida condoled the death of former Minister and Deputy Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, Bibhuti Bhusan Singh Mardaraj.

In their tweets, CM Majhi and Deputy Chief Ministers prayed for his soul’s eternal peace and offered support to his bereaved family.

Praying for the eternal peace of Mardaraj’s soul, CM Majhi wrote: “I am deeply saddened to learn about the demise of former Minister and former Deputy Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, Bibhuti Bhushan Singh Mardaraj.  I pray to Lord Shri Jagannath for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extend my condolences to the family members. Om Shanti.”

In his tweet, Deputy CM Singh Deo stated that Mardaraj’s passing has left a profound void in the state’s political conscience.

His tweet reads: “Deeply saddened by the passing of Shri Bibhuti Bhusan Singh Mardaraj ji—former Minister, deputy Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, and the Raja of Khandpara Gada. His contributions to Odisha’s political and social landscape were marked by wisdom, grace, and unwavering public service. Elected thrice to the Assembly and serving in key constitutional roles, he remained a towering figure of integrity and statesmanship. His demise leaves a profound void in our state’s political conscience. My heartfelt condolences to his family and admirers. May Mahaprabhu Jagannath grant his soul eternal peace. Omm Shanti.”

Taking to her X handle, Deputy CM Pravati Parida wrote: “I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing away of former Minister, former Deputy Speaker, and senior leader Shri Bibhuti Bhushan Singh Mardaraj. May the Almighty grant eternal peace to his soul. I extend my condolences to the bereaved family during this hour of grief.”
