Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday felicitated senior officials for the smooth and seamless conduct of FIH Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023.
The officials felicitated by the CM were: Sundergarh Collector – Dr Parag Harshad Gawali; Commissioner, Rourkela Municipal Corporation – Dr Subhankar Mohapatra; and Rourkela SP – Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo.
The Chief Minister appreciated their efforts in ensuring an incident-free and world-class event in Steel City. Secretary to CM (5T), VK Pandian was present at the felicitation event.
The FIH Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup was held from January 13 to 29, this year. Odisha hosted the grand event for the second time, in succession.
The tournament was played in Kalinga Stadium – Bhubaneswar and Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium – Rourkela.
