Bhubaneswar: On the third day of the third phase of the 5T school transformation campaign, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated 449 transformed high schools in five districts.
These include 233 high schools in Balasore district, 64 high schools in Nayagarh district, 58 high schools in Nuapada district, 49 high schools in Sundargarh district and 45 high schools in Rayagada district. With this, a total of 1134 transformed high schools were dedicated to the people in three days in the third phase.
Notably, 3981 schools have been transformed in the state in the last two phases. After the completion of the three phases, a total of 6132 schools will be transformed in the state.
On this occasion, congratulating the students through video conferencing, the Chief Minister explained to them the use of 5T and said that the present age is the age of technology. Technology is affecting every aspect of life. So therefore, children should try to learn about new technologies, so that they remain ahead of others in all fields in the modern age.
Similarly, advising students on the importance to time, he said that everyone knows about the importance of time. Therefore, children can use their time properly, to remain ahead of others in all areas.
Advising the children to use 5T in their own lives, he said that by doing so they can be successful in all areas of life.
The second thing is teamwork. If children work together, the chances of success increase. He said that teamwork is very important in the field of sports.
Similarly, transparency is an essential requirement in life. Honesty increases a person’s credibility. Applying these will bring transformation or success in their life, he added.
The Chief Minister further said that the success of the students is the success of Odisha. Efforts have been made to provide all modern facilities to the children in 5T schools, he added.
The Chief Minister said that the children could take this opportunity to showcase their talent, and bring glory to themselves, their families and to the entire Odisha as well.
Congratulating the MLAs, Panchayat representatives, school management committee members, teachers, students and parents present in the programme, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of 5T programme.
Soro MLA Parshuram Dhada of Balasore district, Nayagarh MLA Arun Kumar Sahu, Planning and Coordination Minister Rajendra Dholkia, Rourkela MLA Sarada Prasad Naik and Minister for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Development Jagannath Saraka who attended the programme said that this transformation in the education sector has created a buzz across India.
The programme was conducted by 5T Secretary VK Pandian. He said that all the remaining schools in the districts will be transformed in the fourth phase. He said that all government schools in the state will be converted by December this year.
Commissioner-cum- Secretary, School and Mass Education Department, Ashwathi S delivered the welcome speech and the Special Project Director of OSEPA gave the vote of thanks.
